The Role of Safety Officer

CSI Global is seeking a qualified and proactive Safety Officer to join its team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is essential for ensuring a safe working environment across project operations. The successful candidate will monitor compliance with HSE policies, conduct inspections, identify hazards, and support the implementation of effective safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.
• Prepare and maintain safety inspection reports, checklists, and incident records.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions for employees and subcontractors.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and compliance with site safety requirements.
• Assist in risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and method statement reviews.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor emergency preparedness and participate in emergency drills.
• Coordinate with project teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain safety documentation and ensure compliance with applicable Saudi regulations and project requirements.
• Immediately report serious safety violations or incidents to the relevant management.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a safety-related role.
• Ability to work effectively in a site or project environment.
• Immediate availability is preferred.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, operating within a dynamic site/project environment. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure and utilities projects within the GCC region.
