The Role: Sports Data Collector (Football)

Genius Sports is seeking a full-time Sports Data Collector (Football) to join its team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This entry-level position, suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, involves attending live football events to collect real-time, play-by-play data. The successful candidate will utilize proprietary software to capture game information accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Attend live football events in the local Makkah area, including matches from the Saudi Pro League and other lower-profile competitions.
Record accurate, real-time game data, encompassing scores, specific plays, and other key events as they occur.
Operate mobile technology effectively within a dynamic, live sports environment to ensure timely data capture.

Required Qualifications and Attributes

Possession of two smartphones (Android and/or iOS) with consistent and reliable mobile internet access.
Demonstrated strong knowledge of football rules, teams, and game dynamics.
A reliable, detail-oriented, and organized approach to tasks.

Work Schedule and Environment

This role requires attendance at live sporting events, which typically occur during evenings and weekends. Candidates must have the necessary availability to cover these schedules. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring focus and quick adaptation to live game situations.
