Role Overview

The Sr. Internal Auditor will be responsible for conducting comprehensive audits of project activities, processes, and financial records. This role is central to identifying potential risks, ensuring compliance with established policies and regulations, and recommending improvements to internal controls and operational efficiencies within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit project activities to ensure compliance with timelines, budgets, and stated goals.
• Review project processes to identify risks, inefficiencies, control gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluate internal controls to ensure adherence to company policies, legal regulations, and established auditing standards.
• Validate financial records for accuracy and completeness.
• Check project documentation and approvals to confirm proper authorization and record-keeping.
• Analyze change orders, claims, and variations for accuracy and justification.
• Prepare detailed audit working papers, document findings clearly, and develop actionable recommendations.
• Submit audit workpapers and comprehensive audit reports in a timely manner for review and approval.
• Follow up on the implementation status of audit recommendations to ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Contribute to risk assessments and the annual audit planning process.
• Execute other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Sr. Internal Auditor position are required to have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in internal auditing. A strong understanding of auditing principles, compliance frameworks, and risk management practices is essential for success in this role.
