About Salla and the Role

Salla supports over 100,000 merchants, including large holding companies, multi-brand groups, franchises, and cross-border operators. This Staff Product Manager Enterprise role is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and is responsible for defining and building a dedicated enterprise layer to support the most complex merchant operations on the Salla platform.

Role Purpose and Impact

The Staff Product Manager Enterprise will define the enterprise segment at Salla based on merchant needs, focusing on capabilities such as multi-storefronts, multi-entity permissioning, headless and API-driven operations, and reliability with service-level commitments. This role leads a dedicated enterprise engineering pod as its accountable product owner and informs commercial strategy regarding enterprise tier capabilities and pricing. A key aspect of the role involves meeting enterprise complexity through extensible platform capabilities, avoiding bespoke solutions that could fork the codebase.

Impact will be driven across four primary domains:

  • Enterprise Strategy and Packaging, including segment definition, roadmap, tier gating, and rate limits.
  • Delivery through a dedicated engineering pod, acting as the sole accountable product owner from discovery to release.
  • Multi-Market Capability, encompassing multi-currency, multi-tax (including ZATCA and Gulf equivalents), per-market payment rails, and cross-border operations.
  • Agent and API Readiness, positioning enterprise merchants as a proving ground for emerging agentic commerce protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy and roadmap for the enterprise segment, prioritizing retention and expansion impact.
  • Conduct in-depth discovery with enterprise merchants to translate complex organizational, business-model, and market needs into defensible requirements.
  • Lead the dedicated enterprise engineering pod as the single accountable product owner, overseeing discovery, specification, prioritization, execution, and release.
  • Deliver enterprise-grade capabilities such as multi-storefront, headless and API-first operation, role-based access and approvals, and scalable reliability and performance.
  • Manage capabilities enabling merchants to operate across multiple markets from one account, including multi-currency, multi-tax compliance, per-market payment rails, and cross-border operations.
  • Integrate capability and feature-gating decisions into enterprise packaging, including defining rate limits.
  • Ensure enterprise needs are met through reusable platform capabilities, preventing platform forking, with domain teams retaining architectural review rights.
  • Collaborate with the data team to own enterprise success metrics, including capability adoption, net revenue retention contribution, enterprise win rate, and time-to-value for complex onboarding.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven ownership of an enterprise or top-tier product on a multi-tenant software or commerce platform, with demonstrated retention or expansion metrics.
  • Deep hands-on fluency in at least two of the following areas: multi-storefront architecture, headless and API-first commerce, role-based access and approval systems, or multi-currency and multi-tax operation.
  • Track record of converting complex enterprise discovery findings into prioritized, engineering-respected requirements.
  • Experience with commercial packaging judgment, including defining and defending tier-gating capabilities and rate limits.
  • Experience operating as the single product owner for a dedicated engineering pod over two-to-four-quarter horizons.
  • Demonstrated preference for platform capability over bespoke delivery, with examples of declining custom requests for large accounts.
  • Strong analytical mindset, comfortable with instrumenting segment economics per account.
  • Six or more years of experience in product management. Exposure to agentic commerce protocols or building for AI agents is a plus.
  • Full professional fluency in both Arabic and English is required. Gulf market experience is preferred over theoretical knowledge.
