The Opportunity: Steward Supervisor

Jumeirah Jabal Omar is seeking a Steward Supervisor – Stewarding to join its team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position responsible for overseeing stewarding operations within the hotel. The role offers an attractive salary.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate stewarding operations across all shifts to ensure smooth daily workflow and service continuity.
Ensure all kitchen and Food & Beverage back-of-house areas consistently meet prescribed cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Health & Safety, and environmental regulations.
Lead, guide, and support Team Leaders and stewarding colleagues to achieve departmental objectives and service excellence.
Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for stewarding equipment in collaboration with the Engineering Department.
Oversee the proper and safe use of stewarding machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Control operational costs through effective breakage control, loss prevention, and economical use of chemicals and supplies.
Review inventory levels, maintain par stocks, and approve cleaning supplies and chemical requisitions before escalation.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Stewarding operations within a hotel or hospitality environment.
Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role is required.
Strong knowledge of stewarding operations, equipment handling, hygiene standards, and back-of-house processes.
