Storekeeper

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Storekeeper to join their team in Makkah. This full-time position is responsible for managing merchandise and supplies within the facility, ensuring proper handling, storage, and distribution. The role requires 0-1 years of experience and focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy and adherence to operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, marking items for appropriate placement.
• Deliver merchandise to the correct departments and stack received items on pallets or carts.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, and notify management of low stock levels in a timely manner.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock to ensure freshness.
• Inspect deliveries and date items to verify freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality across all case lots.
• Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
• Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures in all food-related areas.
• Organize, clean, and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash, placing them in designated storage areas.

Operational Compliance and Safety

• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Interpersonal and Physical Requirements

• Communicate with guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate, and professional language.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting the team to achieve common goals.
• Read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, as well as sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and stairs/service ramps.
