Role Overview

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its team in Neom, Al Jawf. This full-time role involves providing contractual leadership across a major program. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial and contractual management of large-scale construction projects, focusing on cost control, remeasurements, payment certifications, variations, and contract administration. The role requires close collaboration with project teams to ensure successful project delivery and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the financial and contractual aspects of multiple work packages.
• Participate in, record, and prepare minutes for progress meetings.
• Provide support on all financial and contractual matters throughout the work packages.
• Finalize monthly payment certificates for multiple package contractors with assistance from Quantity Surveyors.
• Ensure all cost and quantity records are streamlined and maintained by Quantity Surveyors.
• Advise the Senior Resident Engineer (SRE) and Resident Engineers (REs) on measurement procedures and calculation of interim and final quantities.
• Evaluate unit rates for new work items with assistance from Quantity Surveyors.
• Establish methods for recording details and monitor day works recording and processing.
• Advise on contractor resource allocation and utilization.
• Prepare monthly financial and cost reports.
• Review and audit contractor payments and valuations.
• Verify measurements and completed works.
• Monitor project costs and expenditure records.
• Coordinate team activities and commercial processes.
• Prepare and finalize project Final Accounts.

Qualifications and Experience

• Chartered status is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of Quantity Surveying experience is required.
• This includes at least 5 years on infrastructure projects and 3 years in the Middle East.
• Strong expertise in estimating, measurement, and remeasurement.
• Sound knowledge of construction contracts, commercial documentation, drawings, and specifications.
• Proven ability to lead Quantity Surveying teams.
