About ACCEL International - Ajyal Center

ACCEL International – Ajyal Center, located in Al-Ahsa, Eastern region of Saudi Arabia, is a leading facility dedicated to providing educational and rehabilitation services for children with disabilities. Supported by Aramco, the center operates under rigorous global standards, delivering specialized, advanced programs tailored to individual child needs. As the only center of its kind in the Kingdom, Ajyal Center integrates specialized education, therapeutic care, and rehabilitation through its comprehensive Accel Model, focusing on early intervention, individualized learning, and holistic development.

The Role of a Psychologist

ACCEL International - Ajyal Center is seeking a qualified Psychologist to join its multidisciplinary team on a full-time basis. This role is central to assessing, diagnosing, and developing intervention plans for students aged 3 to 18 years with various developmental disabilities. The Psychologist will work collaboratively to ensure students receive comprehensive support aligned with the center's model and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological assessments of referred students using appropriate testing and diagnostic practices to determine eligibility and placement for special education services.
  • Consult with teachers and the multidisciplinary team to assist in developing academic and behavioral programming for students.
  • Provide staff training in methodologies consistent with the ACCEL Model Classroom Program.
  • Collaborate with administrators and staff to ensure effective implementation and maintenance of all ACCEL International school operations.
  • Conduct clinical interviews to gather information regarding medical conditions, family history, and psycho-social history.
  • Perform evaluations, diagnoses, and develop intervention plans using psycho-educational, standardized metrics for students aged 3 to 18 years across various developmental disabilities and severity levels.
  • Assess student performance, conduct eligibility meetings, and participate in multidisciplinary Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and implementation.
  • Assist specialists and teachers in expediting student development.
  • Participate in developing student Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and provide individual and family counseling.
  • Ensure compliance with ACCEL International for Saudi Arabia Education policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A relevant degree in Psychology. The center's team includes PhD-level psychologists, indicating a preference for advanced qualifications.
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in psychological assessment, diagnosis, and intervention, particularly with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Proficiency in conducting psycho-educational and standardized evaluations.

The Psychologist will operate within a collaborative environment, working alongside a multidisciplinary team of therapists and educators.
