The Role of Social Development Specialist

The Social Development Specialist will play a crucial role in advancing community well-being and participation in Al Baha, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves developing and implementing initiatives that empower local communities, enhance social programs, and contribute to the region's overall development strategy by improving quality of life.

Core Responsibilities

• Participate in the development and review of the region's social and community development strategy.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify community needs and social development opportunities.
• Conduct field research and social studies to understand community needs, challenges, and priorities.
• Analyze social and demographic data to support the design of effective development programs.
• Design new community initiatives and programs focused on empowerment, volunteering, and capacity building to improve quality of life.
• Improve community services in coordination with local partners, non-profit organizations, and relevant government entities.
• Support the enablement of the local community, including productive families and youth, to benefit from development opportunities.

Required Experience

Candidates for the Social Development Specialist position should possess 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in social development, community engagement, or a related field. This experience should demonstrate a proven ability to contribute to and manage development initiatives effectively.
