KBR is seeking an Instrument Technician I to join its full-time operations in Al Jubail, located in the Eastern region.

Role Summary

The Instrument Technician I is primarily responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of Instrument assets, which is critical for maintaining the continuous operation of Process Units. This role involves leading, supervising, and coordinating the daily activities of a maintenance technician team within a designated area of responsibility, focusing on both preventive and breakdown maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the maintenance technician team, ensuring compliance with preventive maintenance plans and efficient execution of breakdown maintenance on Instrument systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • Oversee the execution of monthly and weekly maintenance plans, controlling progress and submitting regular reports.
  • Provide onsite maintenance and repairs for various types of Instruments, including generators, transformers, and motors, ensuring all activities adhere to established standards, specifications, safety procedures, manufacturer’s recommendations, and contract terms.
  • Act as the focal point for the daily Instrument maintenance execution plan, guiding technicians on all Instrument systems, plant equipment, and facilities within the assigned area.
  • Conduct frequent site visits to verify proper work execution and monitor the activities of technicians engaged in routine maintenance.
  • Track Instrument maintenance work progress, submit regular reports with recommendations to the Instrument foreman, and maintain records of daily maintenance against planned programs, preparing work completion reports as required.
  • Assist in the implementation of engineering modifications and enhancements to Instrument equipment by providing recommendations to improve the suitability and serviceability of Instrument systems.

Required Experience

Candidates for the Instrument Technician I position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in instrument maintenance and repair, ideally within an industrial or process unit environment.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubail, Eastern region. The role involves leading a team of technicians and requires frequent onsite presence to oversee maintenance activities and ensure operational continuity.
