About KBR and the Role

KBR is seeking an Instrument Technician II to join their team in Al Jubail (الجبيل), Eastern region. This full-time role is essential for ensuring Instrument assets are reliable and available, thereby keeping Process Units in continuous operation.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the maintenance technician's team.
  • Ensure compliance with the preventive maintenance plan and efficient breakdown maintenance on Instrument systems, equipment, and facilities within the designated area.
  • Apply best and safe maintenance practices in all operations.
  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate the day-to-day Instrument maintenance activities performed by technicians on all Instrument systems, plant, equipment, and facilities.
  • Serve as the focal point for the daily Instrument maintenance execution plan.

Operational Duties

  • Execute monthly and weekly maintenance plans, control progress, and submit regular reports.
  • Provide onsite maintenance and repairs for various Instruments, including generators, transformers, and motors.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with established standards, specifications, safety procedures, manufacturer’s recommendations, and contract terms.
  • Conduct frequent site visits to verify proper execution of work and monitor technician activities during routine maintenance.
  • Follow up on Instrument maintenance work progress and provide regular progress reports with recommendations to the Instrument foreman.
  • Maintain records of daily maintenance works against planned maintenance programs and prepare work completion reports as required.
  • Assist in the implementation of engineering modifications and enhancements to Instrument equipment by providing recommendations to improve suitability and serviceability.

Required Experience and Technical Knowledge

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Strong technical understanding of maintenance management specifically within Oil & Gas Facilities.
