Ma'aden, established in 1997, is recognized as one of the world's fastest-growing mining companies and the largest multi-commodity mining and metals company in the Middle East. The company plays a central role in developing the mining industry as a key pillar of Saudi Arabia’s economy, building a world-class, fully integrated mining value chain. We are seeking a Lead Specialist, Contract Services I to join our team in Al Jubail, operating on a full-time basis.

Role Purpose

The Lead Specialist, Contract Services I is responsible for leading complex sourcing and contract management activities specifically within the Phosphate Business Unit. This role ensures commercial excellence, robust contract governance, operational continuity, effective risk control, and strict compliance with Ma'aden's procurement policies. The specialist will support business objectives by developing strategic sourcing approaches, managing high-value service contracts, leading commercial evaluations and negotiations, and providing essential contractual and commercial expertise to stakeholders to maximize value and mitigate potential risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing processes for complex and high-value service contracts, including RFQs, RFPs, BAFO, and award recommendations.
  • Conduct commercial negotiations, challenging scopes, cost estimates, pricing structures, and business justifications to ensure value for money.
  • Manage contract amendments, renewals, extensions, and change orders while upholding governance, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Provide contractual and commercial advisory support to various stakeholders and management.
  • Identify commercial, contractual, and operational risks, and develop comprehensive mitigation plans to safeguard business continuity.
  • Monitor supplier performance, contract utilization, and service delivery effectiveness, driving continuous improvement in contract coverage.
  • Coach and guide team members to enhance technical, commercial, and governance capabilities within the Contract Services function.
  • Prepare executive-level reports, approval notes, negotiation summaries, and management recommendations.

Required Experience

Candidates for this full-time position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in contract services, sourcing, or procurement, ideally within a large-scale industrial or mining environment.

Work Location and Type

This role is based in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia, and operates on a full-time schedule.
