About the Role

Air Products is seeking a Senior Project Planning & Controls Engineer to join our team in Al Jubail, Eastern Region. This full-time contractor role provides expert planning and project controls support for BHIG’s Project Portfolio Organization. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring accurate scheduling, cost forecasting, and performance reporting, driving compliance with BHIG standards and customer requirements to enable successful project delivery within scope, time, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent tools, ensuring alignment of engineering, procurement, and construction activities with overall project timelines.
  • Perform schedule risk analysis and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, and cash flow projections, tracking commitments, expenditures, and variances against approved budgets.
  • Support monthly cost reporting and earned value analysis.
  • Implement Air Products and BHIG project controls procedures, maintaining accurate progress measurement systems and performance dashboards.
  • Provide transparent reporting to customers and stakeholders on schedule and cost performance, addressing concerns promptly and ensuring alignment with contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to validate progress data and support change management processes.
  • Identify schedule and cost risks, develop mitigation plans, and assess the impact of changes on project schedule and cost.
  • Evaluate change requests and incorporate approved changes into baseline plans.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in project planning and controls, specifically within oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
  • Expertise in Primavera P6, cost control systems, and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) execution practices.
  • Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is preferred.

This position is site-based in Al Jubail, primarily at BHIG and customer sites, and may require occasional travel. It is offered as a contractor role.
