Senior Project Control Engineer

About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Control Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh. This full-time position involves providing specialized guidance and assistance in project and cost control, ensuring projects are managed effectively against established baselines.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and specialized assistance for complex project and cost control issues.
• Analyze, evaluate, and forecast project status against baseline schedules.
• Establish baseline budgets for resources, revenue, and cost using an appropriate Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in coordination with Project Managers.
• Analyze, evaluate, forecast, and report on cost status against established baselines, collaborating with the planning team.
• Prepare and update various weekly and monthly cost tracking reports.
• Establish resource, revenue, and cost projections for projects in coordination with project teams.
• Perform variance analysis against baseline projections and recommend corrective actions.
• Utilize historical data and trends for future planning and forecasting.
• Monitor and track project progress, performing Earned Value Management (EVM), including calculation and reporting of EV, EAC, and ETC to assess performance and forecast final project cost.
• Participate in monthly and quarterly reviews, supporting the project team in explaining variances and justifications.
• Support the Project Director in reviewing and finalizing business plans.
• Complete performance reviews for direct reports and support personnel development.
• Customize project control systems to meet specific project requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper cost allocation and full visibility for the project cost control function.
• Develop and maintain schedules for construction and design projects.
• Support the billing and collection process, from invoice preparation to coordination with stakeholders for timely collection.
• Prepare multiple trackers and logs to monitor cost-related information and issues.
• Supervise and mentor Project Controls engineers as required.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project control and cost control roles.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze, evaluate, and forecast project status and costs.
• Proficiency in setting up baseline budgets and performing variance analysis.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and reporting.
