Aggreko is seeking a dedicated Air Compressor Technician to join our team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role is crucial for ensuring the reliable operation of our oil-free air solutions. Aggreko provides essential power, heating, cooling, and oil-free air services to customers globally, supporting operations from short-term events to long-term industrial and community needs.

Role Overview

The Air Compressor Technician is responsible for the installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and repair of air compressor systems. This includes OFA 1550CFM capacity units, hose layouts, and ancillary equipment such as dryers, filters, and reservoir tanks. The role involves both depot-based and onsite service during unit on-hire periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, engine/compressor oil changes, filter changes (including driers filters), and replace worn-out parts to extend equipment lifespan.
• Attend to OFA units during on-hire periods and breakdowns, providing onsite repair and support while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Communicate with clients, manage service calls, and respond to onsite breakdowns as required.
• Identify mechanical, electrical control, and pneumatic faults using diagnostic tools and technical schematics.
• Perform pre-hire checks, maintenance, and load-testing of rental units before deployment.
• Commission OFA air compressors and associated ancillaries onsite to meet client requirements.
• Decommission units upon off-hire, return them to the depot, and complete the green card procedure for future readiness.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience as an Air Compressor Technician.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing OFA 1550CFM units.
• Strong foundation in mechanics, pneumatics, and electrical systems, including basic HVAC repair.
• Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and electronic testing equipment.
