About the Role

Core Group ME is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time position involves ensuring the technical compliance, quality, and readiness of commissioning activities for assigned systems. The role requires a balance of technical execution, documentation, and stakeholder coordination within a dynamic project environment.

Role Overview

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing commissioning activities across multiple levels (L2–L5). This includes verifying installations, commissioning individual equipment, testing system functionality, and supporting integrated systems testing. The objective is to ensure all systems meet technical specifications and are ready for client acceptance.

Key Responsibilities

• L2 – Installation Verification: Lead the verification of installation readiness, review and approve installation checklists, ITPs, and Method Statements, and ensure installations meet commissioning entry criteria.
• L3 – Individual Element Commissioning: Plan and witness the commissioning of individual items of plant and equipment, verifying correct operation, settings, controls, and protections, and confirming stability before system testing.
• L4 – System Functional Testing: Coordinate and witness system functional tests, verifying sequences of operation and system responses, and confirming compliance with design intent and operational requirements.
• L5 – Integrated Systems Testing: Support Integrated Systems Testing activities, validate resilience and recovery outcomes for assigned systems, and assist in client demonstrations and acceptance activities.

Authority and Decision-Making

The Electrical Engineer has the authority to approve progression between commissioning stages within the defined scope. They are also responsible for recommending the acceptance or rejection of test results based on technical evaluation.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 8 years of commissioning experience.
• Proven exposure to Data Centre or critical infrastructure projects is mandatory.
• Strong technical documentation and coordination skills are essential.

Performance Expectations

Performance will be measured by the technical accuracy and robustness of testing conducted, the timely resolution and close-out of issues, and the overall quality and completeness of documentation produced.
