About the Role

Kanz is seeking an experienced MEP Estimator to join their tendering department in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time position requires a professional with a strong background in preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for mechanical and electrical building services projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for MEP works.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to develop pricing build-ups and cost breakdowns.
• Evaluate quotations received from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate effectively with engineering and procurement teams throughout the tendering process.
• Support the timely submission of tenders, often under tight deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience

• A BSc or BEng / HNDE in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a closely related discipline.
• A minimum of 9 to 11 years of post-graduate experience in a Quantity Surveying or Estimation role within the construction industry, specifically on the contractor side.
• Demonstrable experience across both pre-contract and post-contract functions.
• Working knowledge of standard forms of contract, such as JCT, NEC3/NEC4, FIDIC, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in measurement and estimating software (*, CostX, Buildsoft, Bluebeam).
• Advanced knowledge of the Candy Cost Estimation tool.
• Experience within a specific sector such as residential, commercial, infrastructure, fit-out, or civils.

Essential Skills and Competencies

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, with particular emphasis on Excel.
• Commercial awareness and a sound understanding of contractual matters.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
• A self-motivated approach, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive problem-solving approach focused on value and risk management.
• Professional integrity and a commitment to delivering high-quality outputs.

Work Location and Requirements

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Eastern Province. Immediate joining is required. Candidates must be residing in KSA and possess a valid iqama.
