About the Role

Residence Inn by Marriott is seeking a Supervisor-Housekeeping to join our team in Dammam. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will be instrumental in upholding the highest quality standards for guest rooms and public areas, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Role Purpose and Responsibilities

As a Supervisor-Housekeeping, you will oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring that all areas meet established quality benchmarks. This role involves significant coordination with various hotel departments and providing direct support to the housekeeping management team in employee development and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and the pool post-cleaning to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Manage room status by running reports, verifying status, identifying discrepancies, prioritizing cleaning, and updating departing guest room status.
• Assist Housekeeping management with daily activities, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Act as a liaison to coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments.
• Document and resolve issues related to discrepant rooms with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments.
• Communicate operational issues effectively to the next shift.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete necessary safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address their service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, listening and responding appropriately to their concerns.
• Ensure continuous adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and over 55 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods across an entire work shift.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
• Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (*, small print).
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
