About the Role

Courtyard by Marriott in Riyadh is seeking an Assistant Manager for its Food & Beverage department. This full-time position requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in food and beverage operations, responsible for overseeing assigned operations, ensuring guest and employee satisfaction, maintaining standards, and achieving financial objectives.

Role Overview

The Assistant Manager, Food & Beverage I will be instrumental in managing daily food and beverage operations. This role focuses on creating a positive and productive work environment that encourages teamwork, continuous improvement, and a strong commitment to service excellence. The position involves direct interaction with both employees and guests to ensure high levels of satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Foster a property environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Provide excellent customer service to all employees and guests.
• Respond quickly and proactively to employee and guest concerns.
• Utilize coaching skills to support staff development and problem-solving.
• Motivate and encourage staff to effectively resolve guest and employee-related issues.
• Understand and implement the brand's service culture to set clear service expectations.
• Take ownership of guest complaints and ensure their resolution to the guest's satisfaction.
• Develop relationships with guests to encourage repeat business.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess one of the following educational and experience combinations:

• High school diploma or GED, with 3 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
• A 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major, with 1 year of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.

Additional Duties

The role also includes ensuring compliance with all corporate accounting procedures and assisting the General Manager as needed with annual Quality audits.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role operates within the framework of Courtyard by Marriott's established operational standards and procedures.
