Position Summary

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) is seeking a Business Support Director to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is critical for managing and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Business Support function, directly supporting the operations of various sectors and deputyships within the Authority.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Business Support Director is responsible for overseeing a broad range of support activities. This includes providing strategic planning assistance and follow-up, managing internal requests, delivering essential secretarial and administrative support, and handling correspondences. The primary objective is to ensure seamless and effective operational support across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of the Business Support strategic plan, objectives, and goals, ensuring alignment with ZATCA's overall strategy.
• Develop and direct the implementation of Business Support operational plans to achieve identified objectives.
• Manage the effective utilization of the Business Support budget and provide accurate reports on progress and challenges.
• Investigate and propose initiatives that result in a positive financial impact for Business Support and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Submit detailed reports highlighting proposed sector/deputyship strategies and ensure communication of approved strategic objectives and priorities to concerned internal stakeholders.
• Ensure support is provided to sector/deputyship functions during the development of departmental annual operating plans and strategies.
• Manage the implementation of cross-organizational activities and initiatives, ensuring sector/deputyship adherence and compliance to organizational mandates and resolving discrepancies.
• Ensure proper implementation of project management activities within the sector/deputyship, including the identification of required resources and budget, and the development of status update reports.
• Attend Vice Governor/Deputy Governor meetings when required, review minutes of meeting, and ensure proper implementation of all discussed areas and actions.
• Manage the issuance of visas for Vice Governor/Deputy Governor visitors to ensure effective operations' support while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

Strategic Impact and Operational Excellence

This role requires a leader who can drive strategic alignment and operational excellence within the Business Support function. The Director will be instrumental in identifying financial opportunities, managing risks, and ensuring that all support activities contribute directly to ZATCA's strategic objectives. A focus on compliance and effective cross-organizational coordination is paramount.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for the Business Support Director position are required to possess 5-10 years of relevant professional experience in managing business support functions, strategic planning, or a related administrative leadership capacity.
