About the Role

Westin is seeking a Chief Accountant to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position is designed for professionals with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on overseeing general ledger processes and directing accounting functions. The role involves supporting various departments and supervising finance and accounting employees.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and implement assigned accounting work and projects.
Coordinate, implement, and follow up on Accounting SOP audits across all property areas.
Ensure compliance with Federal and State laws regarding fraud and collection procedures.
Generate and provide accurate and timely reports and presentations.
Analyze information and evaluate results to identify optimal solutions and resolve problems.
Compile, code, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audit, or verify information and data.
Balance credit card ledgers.
Verify contracts for groups and perform credit reference checks for direct-billed groups as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Ability to achieve and exceed various goals, including performance, budget, and team objectives.
Strong organizational skills to develop specific goals and plans for prioritizing and accomplishing work.
Proficiency in submitting reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
Capability to ensure accurate documentation of profits and losses.
Diligence in monitoring all applicable taxes, ensuring they are current, collected, and/or accrued.
Commitment to maintaining a robust accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets.
Competence in completing period-end functions each period.
Ability to provide direction and assistance to other organizational units on accounting and budgeting policies, procedures, and efficient utilization of financial resources.

Experience

Candidates should have 0-1 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, where the Chief Accountant will oversee daily general ledger operations and support various departments.
