About the Role

Enova by Veolia is seeking a Chief Electrical Engineer (High Voltage) to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for providing strategic leadership and comprehensive management of high voltage (HV) electrical systems within facilities management operations. The position ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of critical infrastructure, including substations, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Strategic Leadership and System Management

The Chief Electrical Engineer will provide strategic direction for all HV electrical systems across multiple facilities. This involves overseeing the operation, maintenance, and optimization of key HV components. The role is central to developing and implementing long-term maintenance strategies, standard operating procedures, and best practices to ensure system integrity and performance.

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for all HV electrical systems across multiple facilities.
• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of substations, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.
• Develop and implement long-term maintenance strategies, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
• Lead system upgrades, retrofits, and the integration of new HV technologies and infrastructure.
• Manage budgeting, resource planning, procurement, and vendor management for HV systems.

Team Development and Operational Oversight

This role includes supervising, mentoring, and developing engineering teams to ensure high technical competency and performance. The Chief Electrical Engineer will also be responsible for approving critical technical documentation and leading the resolution of system failures.

• Ensure compliance with HV safety standards, regulatory requirements, and permit-to-work systems.
• Abide by Enova’s Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) policy and procedures, demonstrating active commitment and accountability.
• Coordinate with utilities, vendors, contractors, and stakeholders on HV operations and projects.
• Develop a proactive working relationship with all authorities and assist in establishing areas for service improvement.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

The Chief Electrical Engineer will drive operational excellence and long-term infrastructure improvements by monitoring system performance and promoting technological advancements. This includes initiatives focused on enhancing system reliability and efficiency.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this Chief Electrical Engineer (High Voltage) position are required to have 5 to 10 years of experience in managing high voltage electrical systems within facilities management operations or a related field. This experience should encompass leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on oversight of HV infrastructure.
