About the Role

IC İçtaş İnşaat / IC İctas Construction, a global company with over 50 years of experience in diverse projects including airports, ports, roads, and power plants, is seeking a Chief Surveyor. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on leading surveying activities for road and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

The Chief Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all surveying operations on road and bridge construction sites. This includes ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and project specifications to maintain project integrity and safety. The role involves developing and implementing efficient surveying methodologies, utilizing advanced tools and software for precise measurements.

• Leading and managing all surveying activities for roads and bridges construction.
• Developing and implementing surveying methodologies and protocols for improved accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborating with engineers and project managers to define project scope and objectives.
• Conducting site inspections and assessments to identify and mitigate surveying challenges.
• Preparing detailed reports and documentation of surveying findings.
• Coordinating with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and contractors.
• Utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for site data analysis and map creation.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geomatics Engineering or Surveying Engineering from an accredited university. A minimum of 15 years of experience in infrastructure projects such as bridges, underpasses, overpasses, roads, and highways is required. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years of proven experience specifically as a Chief Surveyor, managing surveying teams on large-scale infrastructure works, is essential.

Technical Skills and Proficiencies

Strong proficiency with surveying equipment, including GPS, Total Station, and levelling instruments, is necessary. Advanced skills in surveying software are also required, specifically: Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk InfraWorks, Trimble Business Center, Leica Infinity, and Drone Survey.

Language and Soft Skills

An excellent command of English, both written and spoken, is mandatory. Proficiency in Arabic is considered a plus. The role demands strong leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
