About the Role

Saudi Gold Refinery Co. is seeking a Civil Draftsman to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves producing precise technical drawings for refinery infrastructure and expansion projects. The Civil Draftsman will support the technical team by converting engineering concepts into compliant construction documents for civil and structural works, reporting directly to the VP of Technical & Operation. The position requires 5-10 years of experience and a detail-oriented professional who understands industrial safety standards and the specific needs of precious metals processing facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D and 3D civil drawings for foundations, structures, and site works using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to the Saudi Building Code, SASO standards, and internal SGR engineering guidelines.
• Update master drawing sets to reflect field changes and maintain an accurate archive of as-built documentation.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to resolve spatial conflicts and integrate utility requirements into civil designs.
• Provide accurate material quantities and dimensional data to support procurement and cost estimation activities.
• Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and ensure constructed elements match approved design specifications.
• Manage the version control and distribution of all civil drawings in accordance with ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Provide technical clarifications to construction contractors to minimize errors and rework during implementation.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a Civil Draftsman, preferably within an industrial or refinery environment.
• Proficiency in producing detailed 2D and 3D civil drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong understanding of industrial safety standards and the specific needs of precious metals processing facilities.
• Familiarity with the Saudi Building Code, SASO standards, and ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate as-built documentation and manage drawing version control.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to convert engineering concepts into compliant construction documents.
