About the Role

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Design Manager Architecture to join a developer's project delivery team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves supporting the design and development of large-scale architectural projects across a diverse portfolio.

Role Overview and Project Scope

The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary project environment, overseeing the architectural design development process. This position focuses on ensuring the delivery of high-quality, coordinated, and commercially viable design solutions that align with project objectives for residential communities, mixed-use developments, retail destinations, commercial assets, and hospitality projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage architectural design consultants throughout all stages of project development.
• Review and coordinate concept, schematic, detailed design, and tender documentation.
• Ensure design proposals meet project brief, quality, functionality, operational, and commercial requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, MEP, landscape, interior design, and infrastructure disciplines.
• Monitor design programmes, deliverables, and key milestones.
• Participate in design workshops, stakeholder reviews, and technical meetings.
• Identify design risks and support the implementation of mitigation measures.
• Support value engineering and optimization initiatives.
• Assist in obtaining approvals from relevant authorities and stakeholders.
• Prepare design reports, presentations, and project updates for senior management.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience working on major residential, mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, or retail developments.
• Strong understanding of design coordination and consultant management.

Desired Background

Previous experience within a developer, Project Management Consultancy (PMC), or multidisciplinary consultancy environment is preferred for this role.
