About the Role

James L Williams Middle East is seeking an experienced ELV Commissioning Engineer to join its commissioning team in Riyadh, KSA. This full-time role focuses on supporting the delivery of mission-critical Data Centre projects. The position involves the testing, integration, and commissioning of ELV/ICT systems, from equipment and installation readiness through L4 Functional Performance Testing, while also supporting L5 Integrated Systems Testing (IST).

Key Responsibilities

Commission structured cabling and fibre infrastructure, access control, CCTV/VMS, fire/life-safety interfaces, BMS/EPMS/DCIM integrations, and network-dependent ELV systems.
Execute assigned L3/L4 commissioning activities and support L5 IST.
Perform copper/fibre certification, OTDR testing, security system functional testing, and point-to-point integration.
Support cause-and-effect validation, alarm/event correlation, network failover, and time-synchronisation testing.
Maintain accurate test records, manage deficiencies, and support technical closeout and handover.
Co-ordinate with OEMs, specialist Subcontractors, IT/Network, Cybersecurity, Operations, and life-safety stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, ICT, Computer/Network Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years' relevant ELV/ICT systems testing, integration, and commissioning experience.
Preferably 2–3 years' experience on mission-critical/Data Centre projects.
Hands-on experience with structured cabling, fibre infrastructure, security systems, fire/life-safety interfaces, and BMS/EPMS/DCIM integrations.
Practical knowledge of copper/fibre certification, OTDR testing, system integration, network failover, and commissioning documentation.
RCDD, DCDC, CCNA/CCNP, CCP, or relevant manufacturer certifications are advantageous.
