ELV Engineer

About the Role

Solaiman A. ElKhereiji (SAK) Engineering Consultant Company is seeking an ELV Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems for a prestigious heritage project in Riyadh, which is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative and targets Gold LEED certification. The project includes mixed-use buildings, academies, a traditional Najdi-style mosque, a digital art museum, and a mud-brick cinema with underground parking.

Role Overview

The ELV Engineer will be responsible for the review, coordination, installation supervision, testing, commissioning, and handover of ELV systems across various project assets. These assets include commercial offices, residential towers, retail spaces, conference facilities, entertainment venues, public areas, and smart building environments. The role ensures that all ELV systems comply with project specifications, client requirements, industry standards, and operational needs, working closely with a team of over 80 site professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Review ELV system shop drawings, materials, and other submittals for compliance with design intent and technical specifications.
• Coordinate ELV requirements (CCTV, access control, fire alarm, BMS, structured cabling, PA/VA, intercom) with architects, interior designers, MEP, ICT, and AV disciplines.
• Coordinate ELV installations with overall construction schedules.
• Interface with consultants, contractors, vendors, and client representatives.
• Resolve site coordination issues and clashes.
• Identify installation errors or equipment deficiencies, issue site instructions or snag lists, and verify contractor rectification.
• Monitor ELV contractor installation activities, conducting inspections and quality audits.
• Review O&M manuals and as-built documentation.
• Support project handover and warranty activities, participating in project closeout documentation and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with project quality standards and enforce safety regulations throughout the construction process.
• Provide guidance and support to engineering teams and junior engineers.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify issues, and ensure compliance with the design.
• Coordinate with the Client, PMC, contractors, other construction professionals, and the design team.
• Identify and resolve construction issues or discrepancies during the project.
• Provide regular progress reports to project managers and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant ELV engineering role.
• Demonstrated expertise in executing visions, managing resources, and delivering results within set timelines and budgets.
• Ability to ensure projects meet high standards of quality, sustainability, and design integrity.
