Environmental Marketing & Business Development Specialist

About the Role

Expert Eye is seeking an Environmental Marketing & Business Development Specialist to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role is for a professional with knowledge and experience in the environmental and sustainability sector. The specialist will contribute to the company's business growth by identifying market opportunities and building a client base.

Role Overview

This position is suited for an individual who understands the environmental market in Saudi Arabia and can transition from identifying opportunities to engaging with clients, qualifying prospects, and supporting their conversion into actual projects. The role requires an proactive approach to market analysis and client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Continuously research new opportunities and projects in the environment and sustainability sector.
• Monitor tenders and opportunities issued by governmental, semi-governmental, and private entities.
• Identify target clients and build a database of potential entities and projects.
• Conduct market research and analyze sectors requiring environmental or regulatory services.
• Explore opportunities related to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies, environmental permits and licenses, environmental compliance, waste management and circular economy, environmental monitoring and measurements, sustainability and ESG, and environmental consulting for industrial, developmental, and infrastructure projects.
• Communicate with potential clients, introduce company services, and initiate collaboration opportunities.
• Follow up on commercial opportunities and regularly update their status.
• Coordinate with the technical team to prepare technical and commercial proposals based on client needs.
• Monitor government platforms, tender and procurement platforms, and other relevant opportunity sources.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants, developers, contractors, and key stakeholders in the sector.
• Prepare periodic reports on opportunities, target clients, market trends, and competitors.
• Contribute to the development of the company's marketing and business development plan.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, Sustainability, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Practical experience in the environmental sector, environmental consulting, or business development for environmental services.
• Good knowledge of the environmental services market in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong understanding of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) services, environmental permits, and environmental compliance.
• Ability to research, qualify, and convert opportunities into actionable commercial prospects.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in market research, competitor analysis, and client analysis.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with an environmental or engineering consulting firm.
• Knowledge of the requirements and procedures of environmental regulatory bodies in Saudi Arabia, particularly the National Center for Environmental Compliance (NCEC) and the National Waste Management Center (MWAN).
• Experience in monitoring government tenders and bids.
• Existing network of contacts within industrial, real estate development, infrastructure sectors, or governmental entities.
• Experience in B2B business development for consulting or technical services.
