About the Role

Qureos is seeking a Facilities Management Engineer (FM Engineer) to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to ensuring the successful transition of university facilities from construction to operational phases, requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

The Facilities Management Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of facility handover and ensuring operational readiness. Key duties include:

• Leading the technical handover process for university facilities from contractors and consultants.
• Attending, witnessing, and verifying all Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities for building systems.
• Reviewing and verifying all handover documentation, including As-Built Drawings, O&M Manuals, Warranties, Test Reports, and Asset Registers.
• Ensuring all MEP systems are fully operational and compliant with project specifications prior to acceptance.
• Coordinating with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to resolve all punch list items and outstanding defects.
• Supporting the transition of buildings from the construction phase to full operation and maintenance.
• Conducting technical inspections and providing recommendations for acceptance or rejection based on project requirements.
• Preparing handover status reports and monitoring progress until final acceptance is achieved.
• Supporting the Facilities Management team in establishing preventive maintenance requirements and asset data before operational handover.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following educational and experience criteria:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in Facilities Management, Operation & Maintenance, or Building Projects.
• Proven experience in the technical handover of facilities or buildings from contractors and consultants.
• Hands-on experience in Testing & Commissioning (T&C) and witnessing commissioning activities.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, ELV, and BMS.
• Experience in reviewing various handover documents such as As-Built Drawings, O&M Manuals, Warranties, and Asset Registers.
• Familiarity with international standards and best practices related to building commissioning and facilities management.
• Good communication skills.

Work Setting

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the Qureos team. The role involves close coordination with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
