Role Summary: Financial Controller

As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for establishing and managing the financial infrastructure of a new digital asset business. This hands-on role involves designing processes and controls to ensure accurate recording, reconciliation, settlement, and reporting of transactions across both fiat and stablecoin flows. You will define financial rules, oversee their implementation, and remain closely involved in day-to-day operations as the business launches and scales.

Key Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive procedures for payment and transfer approvals, reconciliation, settlement, and exception handling.
• Define segregation of duties, approval thresholds, documentation standards, and audit trails.
• Oversee reconciliations across escrow and cash accounts with local partner banks, USDT stablecoin balances, custody records, platform data, and on-chain transactions where applicable.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring that reconciliations are properly reviewed and signed off.
• Collaborate with Operations, Technology, banks, and external providers to establish reliable transaction flows and financial records.
• Support financial reporting activities in close coordination with finance leadership and external accounting advisers.
• Implement robust manual controls at launch and facilitate their progressive automation.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in financial control or a similar role.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement financial processes and controls.
• Experience with financial operations in a dynamic environment, ideally within fintech or digital assets.
