Overview of the Key Account Manager Role

Placemaker is seeking a Key Account Manager to join a leading multinational FMCG company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is commercially focused, requiring an individual skilled in building strong customer relationships, driving revenue growth, and managing key accounts within a fast-moving, multi-channel environment. The position involves managing a portfolio of strategic customers and identifying growth opportunities.

Core Responsibilities

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for the following:

Manage and develop relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
Own sales performance across assigned accounts, with responsibility for achieving revenue and volume targets.
Develop account plans and identify opportunities to increase distribution, visibility, and sales.
Negotiate commercial terms, promotions, listings, and annual agreements with customers.
Monitor customer performance, sales trends, and market developments to identify opportunities and risks.
Work closely with internal sales, supply chain, marketing, and finance teams to ensure product availability, accurate forecasting, and smooth execution of commercial plans.
Coordinate promotional activities and trade initiatives in line with commercial objectives.
Analyze sales data and prepare regular reports on account performance, forecasts, and opportunities.
Ensure strong execution of agreed commercial plans across customer channels.
Build long-term partnerships with customers and act as the main point of contact for accounts.
Support new product launches, ranging, and distribution initiatives.
Keep up to date with competitor activity, market trends, and customer developments.

Collaboration and Internal Coordination

This role requires close collaboration with various internal teams, including sales, supply chain, marketing, and finance. The Key Account Manager will ensure that commercial plans are delivered effectively through coordinated efforts and accurate forecasting, supporting overall business objectives.

Candidate Profile and Experience

We are looking for a professional with 2-5 years of experience in a relevant commercial role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to manage key accounts, drive sales performance, and foster strong customer relationships within a dynamic FMCG environment.
