Qiddiya Investment Company is a leader in Saudi Arabia's entertainment and cultural development sector. The company is seeking a Director - Group Accounting to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position for an experienced and strategic professional.

Role Overview

The Director - Group Accounting will oversee the group accounting function and contribute to the company's financial reporting framework and accounting policies. This executive role involves leading the consolidation of financial statements across the group, ensuring compliance with international financial reporting standards, and providing financial analyses to support strategic decision-making. The role is instrumental in enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of the financial reporting process.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the group accounting team in preparing consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure financial integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure effective coordination with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and compliance reviews.
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations, assessing their impact and driving necessary changes within the organization.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the group accounting function to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Mentor and develop accounting professionals within the group, fostering a high-performance culture.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are highly preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in group accounting, with significant leadership experience in a similar role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, financial consolidation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
