Role Overview

Alrajhi Bank is seeking a Manager Retail Collection Strategy to join its team. This role is central to defining, monitoring, reviewing, and documenting collection strategies for retail (consumer) lending products. The Manager will lead the development of innovative collection strategies that align with the bank's risk appetite, evolving market conditions, and digital transformation objectives.

Strategic Collection Development

The Manager Retail Collection Strategy is responsible for driving enhancements in collection capabilities through strategic initiatives and system improvements. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading collection system-related projects to enhance processes and strategies through data-driven, customer-centric approaches.
• Balancing cost efficiency with recovery optimization while controlling delinquency, provisions, write-offs, and recoveries.
• Suggesting and leading strategic initiatives to enhance collections capabilities in line with the bank’s long-term objectives for continuous business growth.
• Identifying, developing, and implementing collection and recovery strategies utilizing various tools and channels, such as SMS, email, agency, and bank applications.
• Developing and implementing omnichannel collections strategies with an emphasis on digital-first approaches, self-service options, and automated engagement sequences.

Operational Oversight and Risk Management

This role involves critical oversight of collection operations and ensuring adherence to credit quality standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include:

• Leading collection operations reviews to oversee strategies and ensure stakeholders are informed of performance, highlighting optimization opportunities.
• Driving process reengineering through a system-driven approach and maximum automation.
• Ensuring collection strategies, initiatives, and related processes are reviewed and updated in a timely manner to align with portfolio targets.
• Controlling delinquency, write-offs, provisions, and default rates, while improving recoveries and customer experience.
• Ensuring key risk indicators are defined, controlled, monitored, and aligned with risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

Required Experience

Candidates for the Manager Retail Collection Strategy position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in collection strategy, retail lending, or a related field within the financial services industry. A strong understanding of credit risk management and digital collection methodologies is essential.
