About Alan and the Marketing Generalist Role

Alan is a health insurance, prevention, and care provider serving over 1 million members across 40,000+ companies with an ARR exceeding €800M. The company is expanding its global presence, including a focus on Saudi Arabia. As the first Marketing Generalist in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, you will be instrumental in establishing Alan's brand, trust, and market presence. This full-time role involves both strategic planning and hands-on execution, working directly with the Saudi General Manager to localize global initiatives and generate initial pipeline signals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute annual, quarterly, and monthly go-to-market plans, prioritizing brand and awareness in the initial market phase.
  • Establish Alan as a trusted brand in Saudi Arabia by adapting global brand initiatives into locally and culturally relevant campaigns, including Arabic-native content.
  • Manage organic social media end-to-end, defining Alan Saudi's voice and activating appropriate B2B and employer-brand platforms (*, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
  • Lead PR and communications for Saudi milestones, coordinating media opportunities and press releases to position Alan in local health and employee-benefits discussions.
  • Build and maintain Alan's Saudi website presence, ensuring local messaging and SEO/GEO priorities are met.
  • Produce and prioritize content (blogs, videos, social posts) to build awareness and organic search presence, localizing global playbooks and tracking impact.
  • Support event logistics, create follow-up communications, convert event themes into content, and assist sales with lead follow-up.
  • Utilize event activities to create retargeting audiences, campaign inputs, and reusable content.

Expected Outcomes

Success in this role is defined by increased brand recognition and trust among target buyers in Saudi Arabia. This includes growth in branded organic traffic and overall brand awareness, the development of a qualified local audience through social media, and Alan's credible presence in market conversations. Events will be operationally supported and consistently translated into digital, content, and inbound inputs for long-term use.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a versatile professional comfortable with diverse marketing tasks, from writing press releases to building landing pages and organizing events. You possess a local-first mindset, adept at translating global assets into culturally resonant content for the Saudi market. You are data-driven, defining success metrics and focusing on pipeline-moving metrics. This role requires an individual who builds scalable systems and playbooks, thrives in a 0-to-1 environment, and is a natural collaborator, working closely with sales and engaging in customer conversations.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in marketing roles.
  • Demonstrated versatility across multiple marketing areas, including brand, content/SEO, events, and product marketing.
  • Hands-on experience with paid advertising platforms such as Google Ads and/or LinkedIn Ads.
  • Comfort with data, including setting up basic tracking, interpreting dashboards, and iterating based on performance.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, capable of driving initiatives without requiring extensive team support.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in B2B SaaS, healthtech, insurtech, or HR tech sectors.
  • Familiarity with the Saudi or GCC business landscape and HR buyer profiles.
  • Experience with SEO tools (*, Semrush, Ahrefs, Search Console).
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms.
  • Prior experience as a first or early marketing hire in a company.
