The Role: Materials Engineer

UCC Holding is seeking a Materials Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to supporting the development and execution of procurement strategies, with a specific focus on materials, to maximize value, reduce costs, and ensure efficiency within the organization's supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Support the development and execution of procurement strategies to maximize value, reduce costs, and ensure efficiency.
Analyze market trends and supplier performance to provide insights that support informed decision-making.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand technical requirements and align procurement activities with project needs.
Participate in the preparation and implementation of procurement plans that support business objectives and operational excellence.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and industry standards.
Evaluate supplier quotations based on technical specifications, quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reliable delivery schedules.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve service levels and reduce risks.
Assist in identifying opportunities for cost reduction, value engineering, and process improvement.
Maintain accurate records of suppliers, materials, and procurement activities.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to contractual agreements and quality standards.
Support the implementation of best practices in procurement processes and systems.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.

Required Qualifications

6–8 years of experience as a Procurement Engineer or Material Engineer.
Experience preferably in civil and architectural materials.
