About the Role

Artelia Middle-East is seeking an experienced MV Network Assessment Electrical Engineer for a contract position in Riyadh. This role focuses on the detailed assessment and survey of Medium Voltage (MV) electrical networks and associated equipment within critical infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments of MV equipment, including switchgears, RMUs, transformers, generators, DC battery systems, MV cables, cable routes and containments, and SCADA systems.
• Verify existing electrical installations against as-built drawings and available documentation.
• Assist remote teams in producing drawings based on observed site conditions.
• Collect essential technical data required for electrical engineering studies.
• Assess the condition, performance, reliability, and estimated remaining service life of electrical assets.
• Identify safety hazards, operational constraints, equipment deterioration, and non-compliance with applicable standards.
• Develop comprehensive Risk Assessment Reports and Site Condition Assessment Reports.
• Support the development of rehabilitation, migration, and phasing strategy reports.
• Contribute to the development of demolition and dismantling plans.
• Prepare asset inventories and update existing electrical records.
• Coordinate directly with utility companies, clients, and stakeholders.
• Liaise with the design team, providing necessary inputs based on actual site conditions for proper design development.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• More than 10 years of experience specifically in MV Network Survey and assessment.
• Experience with critical infrastructures such as Airports and Power Plants.
• Proven experience in MV Network rehabilitation projects.
• Experience working on projects within the GCC region, with a primary focus on the UAE and KSA.
• Familiarity with IEC and IEEE Standards, as well as Saudi Electrical Company (SEC) standards.
