.NET Solution Architect

About the Role

Datalake Saudi Arabia is seeking a .NET Solution Architect to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading solution design and architectural alignment for internal business applications, working within dedicated engineering squads for a leading financial services company.

Key Responsibilities

• Design solutions and ensure architectural alignment for internal business applications built on .NET Core.
• Work with Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, and SSRS.
• Oversee design reviews and data architecture.
• Define integration patterns and manage non-functional requirements.
• Develop and implement technical debt strategies for an eleven-person full-stack squad.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in software engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience architecting .NET solutions.
• Deep expertise in Oracle and SQL Server, including schema design, performance tuning, and stored procedures.
• Proficiency with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
• Experience with REST APIs.
• Knowledge of enterprise security principles and practices.
• A background in financial services is preferred.

Work Environment

This role is based at a Datalake delivery center in Riyadh. The work schedule is Sunday to Thursday, from 9:00 to 17:00 Saudi time (UTC+3), observing the Saudi public holiday calendar. You will operate within the client's SDLC, repositories, and CI/CD. Squads participate in a 24/7 critical incident on-call rotation with a documented backup. Professional English is mandatory for all documentation, ceremonies, and reporting. Knowledge of Arabic is considered a plus.
