About Ejada and the Role

Ejada is seeking an experienced Observability Engineer (AppDynamics) to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is for a professional with 5-10 years of experience dedicated to monitoring, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise application performance.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the continuous availability, optimal performance, and stability of enterprise applications through the expert utilization of AppDynamics. The Observability Engineer will achieve this through proactive monitoring, in-depth performance analysis, efficient troubleshooting, and collaborative efforts with various technology teams.

Core Responsibilities: Monitoring and Analysis

• Monitor and maintain the AppDynamics environment to ensure the availability, health, and performance of enterprise applications.
• Perform daily health checks for application servers, monitoring agents, and platform components.
• Monitor Business Transactions (BTs), application response times, and overall system performance to identify performance degradation and abnormal behavior.
• Analyze application metrics, server utilization, JVM/.NET performance, and infrastructure resources to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
• Investigate application errors, slow transactions, and performance incidents while performing root cause analysis (RCA).

AppDynamics Configuration and Reporting

• Configure and maintain AppDynamics dashboards, health rules, alert policies, and monitoring standards.
• Generate performance dashboards and operational reports to provide insights into application health, trends, and service availability.
• Validate application health following deployments, maintenance activities, and configuration changes to ensure monitoring continuity and platform stability.

Team Collaboration

A key aspect of this role involves active collaboration with various cross-functional technology teams. The engineer will work closely with application, infrastructure, database, and operations teams to effectively troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvements in application performance.

Candidate Profile and Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong background in observability engineering, with significant hands-on experience in managing and optimizing environments using AppDynamics. A proven track record of identifying performance bottlenecks, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing solutions to enhance application stability and performance is required for this full-time position.
