We are seeking a Principal Specialist, Exploration & PDE Data Domain, to join our team in Riyadh for a full-time position.

Role Overview

The Principal Specialist will be responsible for leading the design, modeling, and evolution of Ma'aden’s enterprise data architecture across both Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) environments. This role ensures that all data products, enterprise data layers, and integration patterns are standardized, scalable, of high quality, and properly governed across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business domains, adhering to enterprise standards and modeling principles defined within Ma'aden’s architecture frameworks.
• Lead the creation and optimization of data product models, enterprise layer schemas, and domain-driven structures for both OT and IT sources.
• Ensure data models effectively consider technology-specific requirements, including relational, non-relational, time-series, and streaming architectures.
• Architect unified modeling approaches to address the complexities inherent in OT environments, such as remote, disconnected, and heterogeneous mining and manufacturing sites, along with differing data ingestion, latency, and operational constraints.
• Establish robust integration patterns to ensure consistent transformation logic, metadata, lineage, and data quality across OT–IT boundaries.
• Define and maintain enterprise modeling standards, guidelines, and reusable templates to ensure consistency throughout the organization.
• Review and approve modeling deliverables provided by both internal teams and external vendors.
• Mentor data modelers, engineers, and analysts to enhance enterprise modeling maturity within Ma'aden.

Required Experience and Expertise

Candidates for this role should possess over 10 years of relevant experience in data architecture and modeling. The position requires a senior technical authority capable of providing expert guidance on how diverse OT and IT data flows should be modeled, aligned, and transformed to support critical functions such as analytics, operations, AI/ML, and enterprise systems.

Technical Leadership and Guidance

This role involves defining modeling standards, shaping architecture decisions, and guiding multidisciplinary teams. The Principal Specialist will ensure cohesion, performance, and semantic consistency across the organization's data landscape. A deep understanding of various data architectures and the ability to navigate complex OT environments are essential for success in this position.
