About the Role

ALEC Holdings is seeking a Procurement Officer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to overseeing procurement and purchasing functions, supporting the delivery of high-end interior projects across the hospitality, retail, and commercial sectors. The position requires 2-5 years of experience in a relevant commercial or procurement capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify reliable suppliers and determine appropriate quality and pricing for consumable materials, aligning with project requirements.
• Perform early site visits to understand project team priorities.
• Participate in weekly online meetings with site project teams.
• Analyze project needs and research market options for optimal solutions.
• Communicate with project teams (technical/quality) to ensure requirements and deadlines are met in coordination with project consultants.
• Manage the full procurement process using the HIVE system, including receiving internal requests, issuing RFQs, preparing Purchase Orders (POs), and obtaining necessary approvals.
• Coordinate with the ERP team to register new suppliers in the HIVE system.
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotations, clarify technical or commercial queries, and ensure timely submission of offers.
• Prepare comparison charts, purchase orders, and procurement reports, and coordinate management approvals.
• Analyze market trends and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive prices while maintaining quality and delivery terms.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse/storekeepers and project teams to prevent shortages and ensure uninterrupted material supply.
• Maintain procurement records and documentation within the HIVE system, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations, including Saudization obligations.
• Meet with walk-in new suppliers at the Head Office.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in procurement or a related commercial field.
• Demonstrated ability to manage procurement and purchasing functions for high-end projects.
• Proficiency in conducting market research, supplier identification, and negotiation.
• Experience with procurement systems, specifically the HIVE system, is preferred.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with project teams, consultants, and suppliers.
• Ability to maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Procurement Officer will work as part of a dynamic team, collaborating closely with project teams, warehouse staff, and suppliers to ensure operational efficiency and excellence in project execution.
