About TawanTech and the Role

TawanTech is seeking a Product & Technology Expert - Trade Finance to join our team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This is a full-time position focused on leveraging deep expertise in Trade Finance within the Corporate Banking domain. The successful candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), bridging the gap between business and technology teams to drive critical initiatives.

Role Overview

This role is central to advancing product enhancements, digital transformation initiatives, and system implementations across Trade Finance solutions. The expert will possess strong functional knowledge of Trade Finance products, a solid understanding of banking technology platforms, and practical experience with international trade operations, SWIFT messaging, and various Trade Finance applications. The position requires a professional capable of translating complex business needs into actionable technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Product & Technology Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Trade Finance solutions.
• Collaborate with Corporate Banking business users to gather, analyze, and validate business requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for technology teams.
• Support the implementation, enhancement, configuration, and optimization of Trade Finance systems.
• Partner with Development, Architecture, Product Management, and Operations teams to deliver business solutions.
• Lead product enhancement initiatives and support digital transformation projects.
• Participate in solution design, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production support, issue analysis, and defect resolution.
• Analyze business processes and recommend system improvements and automation opportunities.
• Support system integration with SWIFT and other banking platforms.
• Ensure compliance with international Trade Finance standards and banking regulations.
• Provide functional guidance and consultation during implementation and upgrade projects.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Experience: 7+ years in Trade Finance within Corporate Banking.
• Business Knowledge: Strong understanding of Trade Finance products, including Letters of Credit (LCs), Letters of Guarantee (LGs), Documentary Collections, Import & Export Trade Finance, and Document Checking / Document Examination.
• Operational Expertise: Strong understanding of Trade Finance operational workflows, experience with SWIFT MT7xx messages, and international trade processing.
• Collaboration: Proven experience collaborating effectively with both Business and Technology teams.
• Technical Application: Hands-on experience in Trade Finance product implementation, configuration, or support.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Skills and Technical Expertise

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Technical Platforms: Experience with one or more of the following: Finastra Fusion Trade Innovation (FTI), Surecomp (DOKA), China Systems, Eximbills, any Trade Finance Management Platform, banking integration solutions and APIs.
• Digital Transformation: Experience in Corporate Banking digital transformation initiatives and Digital Trade Finance transformation projects.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of UCP 600, URDG 758, ISBP, and ICC Trade Finance Rules.
• Soft Skills: Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional Agile teams.
