The Role of Project Manager

ALEC FITOUT is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves managing projects, coordinating the execution and delivery of client-requested works, and ensuring the highest quality product is delivered within budget. The Project Manager will be responsible for efficient resource and material management.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviewing contract documentation, project schedules, bills of quantity, construction, and design information to develop and implement a project plan.
• Directing and motivating staff to successfully achieve the project plan.
• Ensuring construction documentation is available in a timely manner, sufficiently detailed, and coordinated for works execution.
• Administering coordination with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Attending, coordinating, and recording regular consultant, contractor, and subcontractor meetings, and providing instructions to the project team based on these meetings.
• Overseeing the coordination of all Local Authorities submissions, approvals, and inspections to ensure a fully commissioned and functional building handover.
• Guiding the project team to ensure efficient engineering, production, and scheduling of the project.

Technical Responsibilities

• Managing material submittals for all materials, equipment, and systems, and obtaining consultant/client approval.
• Preparing, coordinating, and submitting all shop drawings, design calculations, and technical submittals for approval.
• Sourcing, ordering (through Procurement), and managing logistics for all materials and equipment as per approved submittals and shop drawings.
• Overseeing site management and coordination of all fit-out activities according to project schedules.
• Conducting all equipment and material inspections with the consultant representative.
• Preparing and submitting all materials, equipment, and systems installation method statements.
• Preparing and submitting all installation inspection requests and securing consultant approval.
• Conducting all equipment and systems testing and commissioning activities in coordination with suppliers and consultant representatives.
• Coordinating design with main contractors, subcontractors, interior designers, architects, and consultants.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-end fit-out and refurbishment projects.
• Strong understanding of construction documentation, project scheduling, and resource management.
