About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Registrar Internal Medicine to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is designed for a physician with 0-1 years of experience in a Registrar role, focusing on delivering comprehensive adult medical care through virtual platforms. The role integrates clinical expertise with digital health technologies to provide accessible, efficient, and patient-centered care, while ensuring continuous professional development under supervision.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct remote consultations for acute, chronic, and complex medical conditions, utilizing telehealth tools such as video, phone, and secure messaging.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including medication management, specialist referrals, and lifestyle modifications, adjusting plans based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.
• Ensure safe prescribing practices and appropriate use of digital monitoring devices, providing ongoing care for patients with multi-system diseases.
• Document findings and treatment plans meticulously in patient records and monitor treatment adherence and outcomes using remote patient monitoring systems.
• Collaborate with consultants, subspecialists, and allied health professionals via digital platforms, facilitating referrals and multidisciplinary case discussions.
• Deliver virtual health education and counseling, promoting preventive care through digital outreach and applying value-based care principles.

Quality Assurance and Professional Development

• Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
• Adhere to all relevant medical regulations, ethical guidelines, and quality assurance standards for both telehealth and in-person practice.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and clinical audits to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Regularly review compliance protocols, participate in training sessions, and collaborate with compliance officers to meet regulatory standards.
• Continuously enhance professional knowledge and skills in internal medicine and telehealth best practices, staying abreast of advancements.

Patient Safety and Digital Health Proficiency

• Maintain accurate and complete patient records in accordance with relevant regulations, including HIPAA.
• Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing designated telehealth platforms, including video conferencing, secure messaging, and electronic health records (EHR) integration.
• Actively participate in training programs and stay updated on platform enhancements and best practices.
• Maintain compliance with all patient safety standards, report any safety risks, and practice safe medicine to prevent patient harm.
• Ensure satisfactory patient consultations through effective communication, empathy, clear explanation of diagnosis and management plans, and prompt addressing of concerns.

Qualifications and Experience

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from an accredited medical school.
• Residency training in Internal Medicine from an accredited program.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine or equivalent.
• Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classification and registration as an Internal Medicine Registrar.
• Proven experience as an Internal Medicine Registrar or similar role.
• Experience in practicing population health management and value-based care approaches.
