About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Registrar Pediatrics to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for delivering high-quality healthcare services to pediatric patients. The Registrar will integrate clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of pediatric conditions, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Key aspects include ensuring clinical quality and safety, enhancing patient satisfaction, and committing to ongoing professional development.

Clinical Assessment and Treatment

The Registrar Pediatrics conducts thorough assessments and accurate diagnoses of pediatric patients, primarily through telehealth consultations. This involves collecting comprehensive patient histories, including developmental milestones, medical history, vaccination history, and family history. Responsibilities also include performing virtual physical examinations utilizing telehealth technology to assess symptoms and conditions, and analyzing diagnostic tests such as lab results and imaging studies relevant to pediatric care. The role requires conducting both appointment and instant consultations.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with patients and their families to establish treatment goals and preferences.
• Prescribe appropriate medications, therapies, and lifestyle modifications in accordance with pediatric guidelines.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment through follow-up telehealth consultations and adjust plans as necessary.

Quality and Safety Standards

A core responsibility of this role is to uphold clinical quality standards and ensure safe practices in all aspects of pediatric care. The Registrar is expected to deliver safe, high-quality clinical care by adhering to established clinical guidelines and protocols. This includes active participation in quality improvement initiatives and audits, as well as reporting and analyzing incidents or adverse events. Immediate and effective action is required to address any incidents or safety concerns, implementing clinical protocols and evidence-based guidelines to enhance patient safety.

Collaboration and Professional Development

The Registrar will foster collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care. This involves leading and participating in regular case discussions with team members, sharing patient insights and progress updates with other providers, and coordinating referrals to specialists and other healthcare services as needed. Furthermore, the role requires engagement in ongoing professional development, including participation in continuing medical education (CME) and training programs, and maintaining awareness of changes in clinical guidelines and best practices to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Patient Experience and Satisfaction

Promoting patient safety and enhancing patient satisfaction are integral to the care process. The Registrar is responsible for implementing patient safety protocols and best practices. This includes actively soliciting and analyzing patient feedback to identify areas for improvement, addressing patient concerns promptly, and ensuring effective communication regarding their care throughout the treatment journey.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Registrar Pediatrics position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in pediatrics. A strong clinical background with demonstrated expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and managing pediatric conditions is essential.
