About Bank of Jordan (KSA) and the Role

Bank of Jordan (KSA) is seeking a dedicated Risk Officer to join its team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This is a full-time position designed for professionals with 2-5 years of experience in risk management.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to support the implementation and continuous enhancement of the Operational Risk Management Framework within the Branch. The Risk Officer will be responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting operational risks, ensuring strict compliance with Bank policies, SAMA regulations, and Basel standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continuous enhancement of the Operational Risk Management Framework in line with Bank policies, SAMA regulations, and Basel standards.
• Identify, assess, monitor, and report operational risks across the Branch while maintaining the Operational Risk Register.
• Conduct Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, identifying control gaps and recommending improvements.
• Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs, operational incidents, and loss events, perform root cause analysis, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Review new products, services, projects, and major business changes from an operational risk perspective.
• Prepare operational risk reports, recommendations, and management updates.
• Follow up on Internal Audit, External Audit, and regulatory observations to ensure timely implementation of agreed actions.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess the impact of new SAMA and Basel requirements on the Branch.
• Support Operational Risk stress testing, scenario analysis, Business Continuity Management (BCM), and Disaster Recovery initiatives.
• Contribute to the development and update of Operational Risk policies and procedures, provide risk advisory support to business units, and promote risk awareness through training and guidance.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant risk management role.
• Good knowledge of Operational Risk principles, SAMA regulations, and Basel requirements.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively across various departments.
