About Awtad Real Estate and the Role

Awtad Real Estate is seeking a dedicated Safety Technician to join our team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time role involves supporting the implementation and monitoring of workplace safety programs to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The Safety Technician will assist in conducting safety inspections, identifying potential hazards, and actively promoting a strong culture of safety across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
• Report and accurately document safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
• Provide safety training and awareness sessions to employees.
• Investigate safety incidents and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with established safety regulations and standards.
• Maintain safety equipment and ensure its proper use and maintenance.
• Collaborate with management to foster and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Required Qualifications and Certifications

• Technical diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• Relevant practical training in workplace safety and foundational knowledge of safety practices.
• NEBOSH and OSHA certifications are mandatory.
• Accreditation as a Technician by the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Professional proficiency in both Arabic and English.
• Must be a Saudi national.

Essential Experience and Skills

• Experience monitoring high-risk activities, including electrical work, hot work, working at heights, mechanical maintenance, and lifting and material handling operations.
• Demonstrated experience ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Proficiency with safety management software and tools.

Preferred Experience

• Experience monitoring Permit to Work (PTW) activities.
• Experience assisting with risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Experience working with maintenance teams and ensuring employee and contractor compliance with safety procedures.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, within a dynamic real estate environment. The role requires a proactive approach to maintaining and enhancing workplace safety standards.
