About the SOC Level 1 Analyst Role

Penta Consulting, a technology service provider and outsourced partner for professional and managed solutions across EMEA, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented SOC Level 1 Analyst. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is ideal for individuals with 0-1 years of experience looking to build a career in cybersecurity within a fast-paced Security Operations Centre (SOC).

Role Overview and Purpose

As a SOC Level 1 Analyst, you will serve as the first line of defence against cyber threats. Your primary function will be to provide continuous 24x7 monitoring and incident response support. This role requires keen attention to detail and a foundational understanding of cybersecurity technologies and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM platforms on a 24x7 basis.
• Perform initial triage, investigation, and categorization of security incidents.
• Escalate confirmed or high-risk incidents to SOC Level 2/3 teams.
• Analyze logs from various security technologies and infrastructure components.
• Investigate phishing emails, malware alerts, endpoint detections, and network security incidents.
• Maintain accurate incident documentation and adhere to established playbooks.
• Support security incident response activities and contribute to post-incident reporting.
• Monitor security dashboards to identify and respond to emerging threats.
• Ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance and timely response to alerts and incidents.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational excellence within the SOC.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a cybersecurity or SOC environment.
• Experience using SIEM platforms is required.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies and security operations processes.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role operates within a 24x7 monitoring environment, requiring continuous support and vigilance against cyber threats.
