Role Overview: Senior Audit Professional

Deloitte Middle East is seeking a Senior Audit Professional for its Audit & Assurance practice in Riyadh, KSA. This full-time role is open to Saudi Nationals with 4+ years of experience. The position involves contributing to audit quality and understanding the impact of regulation and risk management on business processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Build trust and credibility with stakeholders by understanding their service level expectations.
• Deliver high-quality services by demonstrating practical awareness of regulation and risk management impact on business processes and controls.
• Understand key statistics and industry matters related to entities before engagement.
• Adapt template referral instructions to clearly outline the scope of procedures and audit focus areas.
• Understand the structure of group audits and the intended recipients of referral instructions.
• Liaise effectively with onshore and offshore Centers of Excellence, understanding delegated work scope and the importance of accurate information provision.
• Assist in tracking deliverables from component auditors and understand their relevance.
• Appropriately link risks, controls, procedures, and findings across allocated sections of the EMS file in a timely manner.
• Articulate audit quality milestones, how teams demonstrate completeness, and their contribution to audit quality.
• Understand the rationale behind audit plan timings and be prepared to challenge if work can be performed earlier.
• Prepare documentation anticipating reviewer questions, distinguishing accounting judgments from auditing judgments.
• Develop relationships beyond the finance function to better understand the entity's business and apply professional skepticism.
• Maintain practical awareness of engagement lifecycle risks, regulatory environment, and relevant practice protection policies.

• Demonstrated ability to plan and manage engagements and people, ensuring deliverables meet work plan specifications and deadlines.
