About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, *** is seeking a Senior Banquet Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience. The Senior Banquet Manager is responsible for directing and motivating the banquet team, ensuring high-quality service based on established standards. This role involves monitoring and controlling financial and administrative responsibilities, including asset protection, and providing clear communications to all stakeholders for event success.

Key Responsibilities

• Project supply needs for the department, including china, glass, silver, buffet presentations, and props.
• Apply knowledge of all applicable laws related to event operations.
• Manage banquet activities to maximize customer satisfaction and adhere to all established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain established sanitation levels, departmental inventories, and equipment.
• Control costs and manage the banquet beverage perpetual inventory using detailed records.
• Schedule banquet service staff according to forecast and service standards, while maximizing profits.
• Assist the team in developing lasting relationships with groups to retain business and increase growth.
• Act as a liaison to the kitchen staff during events.

Team Leadership and Development

• Set goals and delegate tasks to improve departmental performance.
• Conduct monthly department meetings with the Banquet team.
• Lead shifts and actively participate in the servicing of events.
• Observe service behaviors of employees and provide individual feedback.
• Monitor progress and lead discussions with staff each period.
• Participate in the development and implementation of corrective action plans.
• Communicate and execute departmental and property emergency procedures, ensuring staff are trained in safety protocols.

Guest Service Excellence

• Set a positive example for guest relations and interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
• Respond to and handle guest problems and complaints effectively.
• Empower employees to provide excellent customer service, ensuring they understand expectations and parameters.
• Strive to improve service performance, emphasizing guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focusing on continuous improvement.
• Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees.
