About the Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Senior Director - Design (Sports Stadium) to lead the design and development of sports stadium projects within its entertainment destination in Riyadh Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a senior leader to spearhead design strategy, oversee multidisciplinary teams, and ensure designs meet the standards of world-class sports venues.

Core Responsibilities

The Senior Director - Design will be responsible for:

Establishing and guiding the design and architectural vision for sports stadium projects, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya's strategic objectives and brand identity.
Managing and mentoring multidisciplinary design teams, including architects, engineers, and specialized sports facility consultants.
Collaborating with project management, engineering, and operations teams to deliver integrated designs that adhere to performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
Driving innovation in stadium design across areas such as fan experience, accessibility, sustainability, and technology integration.
Overseeing coordination with external stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure design compliance and timely project delivery.
Managing design budgets and schedules to optimize resource allocation and achieve project goals.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must possess:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 15 years of experience, with a significant focus on large-scale sports stadium or venue design within commercial real estate or sports infrastructure development.
Demonstrated leadership experience in managing multidisciplinary teams on complex design projects.
In-depth knowledge of stadium design principles, relevant building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards.
Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and visualization tools.
Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience working in the Middle East or Saudi Arabia is considered an advantage.
